omg i am sick again sighhhh ))): hate this omg siannnn i hate being sick )): i just slept the whole afternoon away and i still feel damn sian haha aching all over ))): lucky the fever subsided alr omg but my head hurts damn badly la faints ))): and omg it was hurting even worse this morning before my shing dearest gave me a headrub and icepack ): goshhh it must be the lousy weather these days la omgggg faints )))):
ok anw hmmm i shall blog about my week yayy (: on thurs i hung out with ducky dearest yayy haha we had lunch at j8 (sushi and yami yoghurt! (: so healthy right ) and omgggg i love the cheese sushi from the ntuc haha it's damn nice!!! :D hehe then after that we still had some time before shrek started so ducky accompanied me back to sch to collect A level cert and yearbook hehe xD omg the A level certs and everything came in a super nice folder haha i'm impressed omg :D yayy don't have to worry abt the certs getting crumpled on the way home hehe (: and the yearbook was quite nice too hehe though they were so kiamsiap omgggg squeezed like 4 class photos onto a page omg how to see the faces clearly la pls?! :O
and then after that we went to get koi bubble tea before going for movie! (: we are damn pro la managed to smuggle our koi into my bag hehe so we could enjoy it in the cinema yayy! (: and omg i love the passionfruit aiyu tea haha it's damn refreshing yayy :D and yayy hehe shrek was super nice la!! ((: hehe loved it omg it's like so super sweet and so cute omg and i totally love puss haha he's my fave character omg soooooooooo cute!!! :D and i like the soft toy that the shrek babies play with hehe it's so cute pls omg it looks like a mini ogre and it squeaks when you press the stomach!! (: omg if the shops start selling this toy i'm gonna buy it srsly haha it's damn cute la!! ((((((: and the last part is so sweet srsly hehe when shrek was telling fiona it was actually she who rescued him hehe awwww ((((:
and after that we had loads of spare time before cooking class in the evening so we stood at bishan mrt wondering what to do omg :O hehehe singapore is actually dead boring when you think abt it hehe there's hardly anything nice and fun to do for leisure activities omgggg )): so like, we stood there for 45 min and ducky used her iphone to search for fun things to do hehe! (: and like we almost ended up going on a farm trip hehe but then after that we decided we'd just go to nicoll highway area and explore the place hehhh (: cos like we haven't exactly been there before so yeahh haha new place to see (: and omgg that place is really quite ulu omg :O but like there is a very pretty beach near the mrt hehe no wonder it's called beach road haha xD it's really nice and peaceful omg and the scenery is so nice cos you can see the skyline of the cbd area and also the singapore flyer and marina sands and kallang stadium! (: really nice! :D
hehe then cos we thot it was going to rain, we went to the other side of the area to walk around the shops hehe! (: that side is quite boring though haha it's mostly just food but since we were trying to be healthy and not eat so much we didn't eat anything from there! (: and omg there was this shop that said it was selling yam paste and i wanted to buy lorh omg then they said they didn't have it that day -.- sad omg ))): then in the end we both decided to satisfy our craving for cheese fries hehe so we walked all the way to bugis junction to find the kfc hehe! :D oh and some of the restaurants along beach road are really pretty omg ducky we're gonna have dinner there one day right!! (: before you go off k! :D oh oh and i was supposed to blog about the things ducky and i are supposed to do before she goes off! (: so here goes haha! (: dinner at haji lane/bali lane, go escape theme park, and eat carl's junior beef chilli fries hehe it's apparently damn nice! :D
and then we finally reached kfc hee and ended up sharing cheese fries and popcorn chicken hehe damn pro omg our healthy diet just failed pls hehe :/ but yayy i love cheese fries and popcorn chicken yayy yum omg!! :D i have super unhealthy cravings omg this is bad omg ): yayy then when we were done we walked back to kampong glam cc for cooking! (: hehe our cooking teacher is so nice she cooked dinner for us before class started :D plus we got to bring home the goodies from the class so yayy hee :D we learnt to make meicai chee cheong fun, potato salad and sweet potato and red bean dumplings! (: damn nice la omgggg (((: i must start trying to make it at home also heh :D
then after cooking shing dearest sent me home yayy so nice hee! (: and omg cheese fries ftw hehe i love it omg :D :D
then next day was vesak day hehe went to watch movie with shing hehe! :D shrek again omg! :D but this time it was in 3d hehe xD gosh i think the 3d version is much nicer hehe xD tickets were so ex though omg cinemas sure know how to eat money ))): hehe i think i am cartoon crazy or sth hehe i can watch cartoon movies over and over without getting bored omg champion (: lunch was at manhattan fish market hehe their seafood set for two is really damn nice omg but damn oily omg hehehh see i'm so unhealthy omg faints ))):
ytd was a super super fun day with shing too hehe filled with pigging out and and sweet stuff hehe! :D i bet i'm gonna get fat from all the cheesy stuff we keep eating hehehe but nvm la once in a while is ok right (: and i now know how to peel crab shells alr genius hehe! :D i feel like quite a pro (: and and and i love cheese flavoured icecream omg the bakerzin one!!! :D rocks! (: heheee (((: oh gosh i'm such a dessert fanatic (: and shing bought me a cheesecake slice to satisfy my cheesecake craving hehe so sweet omg (((: dinner was tomyum soup at my house! :D hee and we watched ip man 1 together after that hehe quite nice omg! ((: yayy i think kung fu is pretty cool omg i should go learn hehe! (: damn cool la the way they armtwist ppl and throw them on the floor (: and it trains reflexes lehh omg i should totally go learn omg then i'll learn to react faster hehe! :D
yayy and argh i wanna go swimming with my cousins tmr but i'm sick zzz )))): not fair omggg ahhhh whines ): stupid flu is spoiling my exercise plans ))):

oh gosh i haven't blogged for so long haha :/ ok shall blog about my macau trip now haha xD just came back like 2 days ago yayy and it was great fun! (: it was a 4 day trip haha with one day spent in hk! (: yayy so anw, on the first day we explored the town area of macau (: went to senado square, st paul ruins and some churches in the area! (: the whole place is really pretty haha i love their architectural style omg it's pretty much portuguese so yeahhh it looks very european haha very pretty ((: pics are on fb! :D and even the patterns on the ground are all so artsy haha they really put a lot of effort into the tiling haha xD oh and the interior of the churches are really pretty omg so grand looking :D the altar alone is alr so intricately decorated omg and then there's also the super high arched ceilings with all the pretty murals on them! (: wow haha they are just totally amazing la :D i wish singapore churches were as pretty haha xD oh and while we were at senado square, we tried their shaved ice and piggy bun! (: damn nice haha xD ohhh and we went inside koi kei bakery also and ended up sampling and buying a lot of yummy goodies haha ((: and we bought portuguese eggtart haha it's really yummy ((: omg i love eggtarts la whether it's portuguese style or hk style haha xD
after that we went to hotel lisbon area to try their famous gui lin gao! (: omg i can't believe gui lin gao is actually made from turtle shells omg ))): poor turtles la srsly ): the gui lin gao was super ex though omggg not worth it ): but the taste was not bad la yayy (:
then in the evening we went to fishermen's wharf (: it's quite pretty too haha the entrance looks quite roman-style and they even have a roman amphitheatre for events! (: then there are rows and rows of shophouses and eateries along the whole wharf hehe super scenic (: and the view of the harbour is really nice too! ((: oh and omg i saw like 2 helicopters landing on the helipad across the harbour haha cos there was a floating casino there and it's only accessible by helicopter or ferry xD exciting stuff omg helicopters are so cool! :D so anw yay we had dinner at the wharf la, had wanton mee and claypot rice! (: super yummy haha xD
then we went back to our hotel to check in hehe xD we roomed in the venetian for all the 3 nites haha it rocks! (: it's like this super large resort style hotel that is built to look like a miniature venice (: it was really really spectacular haha it was like, sprawling omg (: and they have so many suites and so many facilities, shops, and lagoons (: and the casino inside is the biggest casino in the whole of macau apparently haha xD and yeahh actually the casino was really superrr huge! (: like wow haha and damn crowded also (: i would have spent a longer time checking it out but the whole place was filled with smoke cos it seems like most of the gamblers there are heavy smokers zzzz so yeahhh i tried not to stay in there for too long ): oh and our hotel suite was really nice and pretty too haha xD super big and venetian looking as well haha it looked quite grand (:
second day was hk day! (: we took the hydrofoil to hk haha and spent one whole day shopping (: i now have a new bag and 2 pairs of shoes and a new dress! (: oohx and we went to the famous xu liu shan for mango dessert haha xD the mango dessert rocked as usual haha xD yum (: oh and we had dimsum lunch haha yayy i love dimsum! (: dinner was at the ferry terminal haha we ended up eating macanese food (: which was mostly portuguese style la haha xD portuguese soup is super creamy and tastes a bit weird ): the rest of the food was quite nice though yayy (:
then the next day we explored venetian! (: it's so big omg we srsly took like one whole day walking around (: the shops sell quite nice stuff but they're all so ex omg )): oh and i really like the layout of the shops haha they are all indoor but the ceiling is decorated to look like the sky (: and there are indoor canals also and the shops are all built along both sides of the canal (: that's why the shopping area is called the grand canal shoppes! (: haha xD oh and we took the gondola ride along marco polo canal haha it was super fun omg especially cos our gondola boatman was super funny and entertaining haha his voice is really nice and powerful omg and his expressions and actions while singing are so drama it's really funny :D :D ooh and we had buffet lunch at one of the restaurants in the hotel haha omg the food spread was reallyyy good especially the dessert omg i think i am a dessert addict oops ((:
at night we went to this brazilian bar for a drink hehe yayy (: and then we went to this shanghainese restaurant for dinner yay yum (: we had shanghainese xiao long bao omg yum ((: and fried rice cake and drunken chicken and veg and chive dumplings hehe yummy (:
and yupp that was the end of the trip la cos we took the morning flight home the next day (: hehe it was super fun yayy i loved the food and the scenery hehe i realise i like places with pretty architecture omg (((((: should go live in europe right haha :p
then ytd was my dad's bday haha so it was pigging out time again omg :D we went to this german pub and restaurant called brauhaus! (: it's super near my house la yayy :D anw omg the food rocked haha i realllyyyyy love german food omg ((: bratwurst!!! :D and sauerkraut haha xD oh and they have this interesting german-singaporean fusion dish haha fried pork knuckle beehoon! (: it's not bad la though i still prefer authentic german pork knuckle hehe xD oh and the beer there rocks omg i had mango flavoured beer haha it's really much lighter and sweeter than normal beers haha yum! (: then when we reached home we had durian cake hehe omg faints my stomach was totally bursting hehe but yayy it was quite yummy la :D
and today is my godma's bday! (: so i went out with her for lunch at bakerzin haha (: had bratwurst linguine and bailey's irish cream souffle! (: i absolutely loveeeee souffle omg aiya i love all desserts mostly hehe (((: one day i must learn how to make souffle hehe xD oh and godma ordered coupes cheesecake for dessert haha it was super nice and yummy too hehe it's actually cheese-flavoured ice cream on a cookie base, served with mixed berries and meringue slices haha (: and omg the meringues slices were really colourful omg so cute la it looked like some kiddy dessert (:
i am so full now srsly haha (: having dinner with my dad at xin wang later haha more bingeing again haha i'm dead meat la soon i won't be able to fit into my clothes )):
tmr i have cooking class with ducky dearie again yayy and we're going to watch shrek yippee omg exciting hehe i can't wait! (:
and omgg i have this craving for cheese fries and anything cheesy haha this is thanks to shing darling omg who was mentioning cheese fries the other day haha omgggg ((: i want!!! :D ah we can share a large helping of cheese fries when you come out k omg (: help la i'm going to get fat srsly )):
i also wanna eat shaved ice again hehe it's really nice omg ((: i also feel like eating lasagne hehe and swiss rosti and chawanmushi and steak and bratwurst (X20) and a lot of other things omggggg someone stop me please!! :/

hehe i am being bored and boliao now cos i have nth left to do for the night and i don't feel like sleeping yet haha so here i am again! (: i think my blog helps me sort out my thoughts sometimes haha and uh i dunno haha, it's a very good place to do reflections? (: ok reflections sounds very school-ish and kiddish haha, i dunno la but yeah uh hmmm ok maybe retrospection is a better word (: ah yes so i love coming here to do some retrospection on my life hehe xD
anw, after a nice wonderful day with my dearest fiance, i went home sometime in the evening and then i watched ip man 2 with my mom! ((: it seriously rocks haha now i see why everyone says it's good haha, cos yeah it's really good! (: and it's like haha i dunno, very meaningful (: and haha watching this show makes me really hate those arrogant a_gmo_hs though haha their attitude towards chinese as depicted in the movie really stinks hmph ): though well it's just a movie haha so no need to get too upset also haha (: and ip man is really cool omg i love the way he fights haha sooo cool (: and again, i have to say, i wish i could fight like that haha (i always end up saying this after watching fighting movies haha sometimes i wonder if i'm a girl :p ) but yeahhh it's damn cool la really haha must watch (:
and then after that i was bored so i decided to read my blog archives again haha xD it's really fun la omg (: or maybe i'm so narcissistic that i just really love reading anything written by me or anything written about me haha xD oops :p haha so yeahh anyway this time i started reading my archives starting from j1 haha cos i suddenly felt like i wanted to relive the j1 moments and so yeahh (:
and then i started remembering a lot of things that i would otherwise have forgotten hahaha loads of little little things ((: and well some things just leave behind a bittersweet feeling cos it reminds me of many things that i would rather not have remembered :/ shattered dreams, lost friendships, miserable and sian times, times when people around me made me feel so small and worthless and unimportant like some ragdoll to be cast aside after playtime, while some things give me this great sense of happiness and accomplishment when i read about them now (even though they were blogged about in a damn sian/angsty manner at the time) haha (: some things just make me feel plain nostalgic, some things make me wish that i could live my life over again just to make some amendments in my life, keep myself from deteriorating, keep myself from meeting people i should never have met because they were just not worth meeting, and also to put in more effort in cultivating relationships with those that deserved more of my time and effort just that i was too blind and shortsighted and juvenile to actually realise it... and to rethink all the choices i've made at every stage of my life, things i should have done but never really got round to doing... wow haha that's a really long list oops :p
but yeahhh basically from my recollection of blogposts, well jc was really erm a mess of things and yet it was a really really fun time omg ((: reading about all the harmoc concerts and camps and syf just made me smile haha ((: and like, aiya all those long harmoc pracs and all the endless hw and all the pw meetups that made me so tired and crabby and in a permanently-pissed-off mood actually make me feel like laughing now when i read about it haha cos like, omg i suddenly cant understand why i complained so much about it then, when A level mugging was the purest form of hell ever hahaha and all the rest of the things just pale in comparison alr lah haha, oh wait no sorry, my work as a HR staff was the purest form of hell haha i take back the stuff i just said about A level mugging HAHA :D so yeahh anw, it's amazing how i change perspective so fast right :p and oh oh i have to say this also, reading about all those tough times makes me feel damn proud of myself now haha (: sorry i have to be ego again haha but i just feel so proud cos it shows that i, nicole thio, am super tough ok and i can do anything and everything no matter how pressurising it is cos i am strong and super driven woots (: plus i have great family and friends la haha i won't ever forget all that also haha xD
and reading about all the sweet things my cookie darling says to me on msn makes me smile from ear to ear haha i have to say this la, you have to give it to shanin really haha she's totally oozing sweetness all over omg and i guess that's one of the main reasons why i love her sooooo much yayyy hehehe xD muuacks! ((:
oh and some posts make me miss school cos of the retarded things we always end up doing there hahahaha like random laughing fits and doing stupid things and blahblah haha xD and i miss the fun events like orientation omg and class camp haha and much much more (:
and suddenly a lot a lot a lot of random little things hit me haha and it's like those drama thingys when your life moments start flashing super quickly before you haha (:
and then i see myself at orientation again, dancing the stupid batch dance and getting all mixed up with the dance steps, running around sentosa in the rain, laughing on the 156 in the morning with the super cheesy retarded yitao, playing marg and jin ning while singing the national anthem in the morning haha, we're like pulling each other's hair and blowing hot air at each other, pinching each other, elbowing each other and whatnot hahahah :p and i see ourselves at our first physics tutorial where we start laughing about hair gel HAHA, playing pickupsticks during one of the damn boring chem lectures, sleeping on margaret's shoulder during pe lectures, blah blah haha xD and then i see myself at class camp struggling to climb onto the giant structure, playing cards on the road at night, sitting on the funny boat and splashing water at certain people on the boat AHEM anganshing ahem ahem (it's damn funny when i think about it really haha cos, who would have imagined that somehow this super annoying person who kept bullying me last time would end up being my bf hahaha it's really amazing srsly haha :p ) and then come the times when i'm struggling to stay awake during lessons/harmoc pracs, staying back till late at night for pw, walking along the path towards bishan mrt when some super nice friends (AHEM clement hong) decide to shout boo at me after telling me all sorts of stories about the fetus in the RI bio lab haha thanks ah srsly :p
and then comes the j2 year, and i see myself going to raja block every morning(it's worth the long walks there just for the few mins with my loved one haha ((: ), rushing out tutorials during breaks, staying back till late in the evenings to discuss harmoc stuff with the exco, standing in front of the ensemble to conduct during harmoc pracs, opening my locker after prac to find little surprises inside (the most epic one was the haagen dazs macadamia ice cream haha my darling is the sweetest omg (((: ) haha and i see ourselves at syf and at concert, haha those were memorable times really (: and then came the nightmarish yet fun times haha omg, chionging to the library after school to chope seats in the library, lugging my prelim booklets from the locker, doodling all over anshing's stuff oops :p, munching during mugging breaks, being entertained by ppl like chiak and clement while shing was away for h3 lessons, omg hahaha i can't help smiling to myself haha xD
and there's loads moreee omg ok i haven't really read the archives up to there yet haha i'm somewhere at aug 09 now haha i shall resume another time (: or my brain will get flooded by all the memories hahahaha (:

whew ytd was such a longggg night omggg haha but i had lotsa fun yayy it felt like such a long time since i actually did something meaningful to help other people hahaha xD
kayy anw ytd was harmoc concert! (: harmonix XIII: The Great Mixtape Escape! ((: haha wowww i can't believe we're already up to the 13th concert haha for such a relatively unestablished cca we have srsly come a very long way ((: anddd i think the program booklet and promotional posters looked really great and artsy and cute hehe yayy :D
hee so anw, sharon, ducky and myself went to sch around like 5 plus to help them with their makeup hee :D and before that we went to j8 to buy a choc cake hehe, gift from SLs '09 (: and like, it felt so good seeing our juniors again! (: though like haha i srsly can't tell if they are erm happy to see us again cos come to think of it, i rmbr being quite not-so-nice to them sometimes during pracs hehhhhh but well nvm la whatever haha (: though it was pretty nice catching up with some juniors while helping them put make-up (: feels weird being j3 though haha it really feels soooo weird haha i miss being in jc D: and like, some of the j1s were asking me how old i am haha, and it totally felt so weird telling them i'm j3 haha omg, i'm so not used to it :p
and hehe it's quite fun talking to some of the j1s too haha even though i really don't know them personally hahaha but somehow i always end up striking up a random convo with them cos otherwise it's so awkward for us to just sit there in silence while putting make up hehhh (: and hee some of them are really cute! xD and some of them are really picky about the makeup omg geez if they wanna be so picky they should just go put it on themselves haha! :/ and hehe it's super fun playing with eyeshadow haha (: i had to use my finger to apply it for them though ahaha cos we ran out of the brushes zzz D: and hehee there was this very cute j1 who kept smiling and wiggling in her seat as i was applying the eyeshadow for her hahaha so i was like, eh are you ticklish or sth? then she was like, ehhh no just that your finger is veryyy cold! hahaha OOPS :p
then around 7 we made our way down to the PAC for the concert! (: haha yayyy the j4s came back too yayy, they are such dedicated seniors omg! (: like considering they don't even know a single person performing anymore haha but they still came down to support anw :D yayy for our wonderful harmoc family! :D :D and haha zhixin and sandra joined us for the concert too yayy! (: so pathetic la, there were just 5 j3s at the concert omg ): and haha sharon and i have decided that we shall be dedicated seniors too and come back next year to watch their concert again hee :D
hee and ok la honestly their standard of playing for the concert wasn't really that great hmmm, the wrong notes and off-key notes were pretty obvious, and like random stumblings could be heard too, but then again, considering these were j1s performing, well it's really quite good alr la since they had to start from scratch and only had 4 plus months to get everything up to scratch (: so well done everyone yayy! :D and HAHA sharon damn bad omggg during one of the small group songs, the soloist tried to trill but couldn't do it so well and then sharon was like, "omg failed trill" HAHA faints lucky we weren't sitting in front or it'd have been a hugeeee blow to the soloist's ego man hahaha :p and hee the j2s were good in general la (: which definitely ought to be the case haha xD and well i just felt so happy and slightly overwhelmed when the curtain opened for the j2 batch song haha (: even though it was quite sad to see that the entire batch had dwindled to such a size this year ): but well, it really felt good seeing them perform on stage cos after all, this was the batch we had trained up and oh boy, did i feel proud watching them play (: they've really come so far since last year (: especially rohan omg i'm so proud of you haha, though you won't get to see this haha but considering you were one of those not allowed to take part in syf, you've really improved a great deal and your solo yesterday was really great hehe so YAYY (: proud of you haha xD jessica too omg her solo was damn imba srsly omg :O and the rest of the j2s also haha ((: and it just feels so different watching these juniors playing the harmoc, no longer as an sl standing in front of them, but as a member of the audience watching from afar (: and yayy it feels good knowing that we, as seniors, helped build the foundation for such pro playing today woohoo (: plus they really put in so much effort also la at all the pracs so yayy ((: anw aiya to cut the long story short, i'm so proud of you guys and so happy you all have come this far!!! :D
and and i loved the last piece (: rondino by beethoven ((: it was really obvious that they had spent loads of time and effort practising this piece, so well it was definitely deserving of every bit of that applause after the concert (((: really, it sounded great :D :D :D best piece for the whole concert (: oh and i loved the j2 small group medley of japanese songs hahaha omg it started with the ponyo theme song omg SO CUTE please ((((: and there was this j1 small group who played their song wearing pajamas hahaaha superrr cute also :D :D
then post concert was slightly boring la haha cos we had to wait for them all to finish taking photos and collecting flowers and balloons and whatnot and by the time they were done, it was pretty late sigh haha D: and then after that we went back to lt 6 for post-concert party haha xD omg it was superrr late la really haha D: so we just helped cut cake and stuff for them and then we zao-ed and left them to enjoy their food hahaha xD so yeahh that was the end of the concert la (: i'm so glad i could be there to watch and help out haha really ((:
yayy then today was pretty slack haha i went shopping with my mom in the afternoon hehe yayy it was quite fun hahaha jewellery shopping :D (: i love shopping in general omg ((:

and omg i officially hate my blood pressure srsly why is it so low la darn D: today i went for a checkup and the doc drew my blood and almost immediately i felt all dizzy and light-headed ): feels so horrible having this kinda thing omg i really need to know how to raise my blood pressure ): and my mom bought me iron tablets alr but argh why do i still kena all these dizzy spells gosh it's so retarded i hate it la i wish i had a normal blood pressure srsly ):
so anw, after the checkup i popped into the next door seven eleven to grab a choc bar out of desperation and i was kinda hoping the glucose inside would help, but like, no it didn't omg so anw i slowly made my way home (and to make matters worse it was raining omg ) and then fell asleep haha ): lucky i felt better after resting omg (:
and i had dinner with my mom at this breadbar place haha it sells cool dishes with youtiaos! (: like today we had assam chicken and like the youtiao tastes excellent when dipped in the assam gravy hehe yum! (:
i just discovered this cool website with free sheet music for english pop songs haha and they have so many of my fave songs! ((: like love story omggg haha i am totally gonna print the score when i finally restock my printer cartridges haha i have no idea why printer ink runs out so fast omg it's mad :O and haha this is all zx's fault if i end up printing tons of music scores omg cos he got me hooked onto all the pro pro videos of ppl playing all the nice pop songs (happens to be all my fave songs toooooo omg, which doesn't help my new addiction srsly) on the piano haha so yeahhh faints i have been scrolling through all the scores and trying to find good scores to play (:
tmr is the day of harmoc concert! (: the great mixtape escape! oh my goodness i haven't blogged for so long haha! was prob feeling too excited and also too busy over the weekend la haha (:
anw yayy i'm so happy i got into dentistry yayy i'm gonna be a dentist! :D :D :D so exciting omg i really feel super excited for next time alr omg :D and hee all of you must give me business next time k! (: hehh honestly i'm really surprised cos i thot the manual dexterity test was crap omg esp since i stupidly punctured my own thumb with the pliers and like my blood was all over the plasticine omgggg and i was thinking, omg that is the worst evidence of clumsiness for the assessors haha but whew they didn't seem to mind apparently :D haha and i thot i was screwed for the interview also haha they totally grilled me abt wanting to quit my job for my kids if necessary omg and i totally regretted saying it after that haha but then now i don't regret it la haha i guess honesty is really the best policy hehe xD
so yayy! :D 4 years more and i can be dr thio alr woohoo! :D it sounds pretty cool hehe really ((: and i know the next 4 years are gonna be damn tough and hellish, according to all the seniors, but well i'm a strong girl so i shall persevere to the end yayy i can do it! :D even if i have to freaking memorise the whole textbook on human anatomy (goodness knows why also, when we're only gonna work with the head and neck area in future) or even if i have to spend like one whole day making dentures, stay up late to mug, or stay back late in school to treat patients, i won't give up i won't i won't! ((: i realise the drop out rate from dentistry is quite high but i shan't become a dropout yayy that i shall promise myself (: go go go nicole it's a tough road ahead but you can do it ((: next time when i'm feeling stressed and buay tahan cos of the heavy workload, i must remember to go back to my archives and read this post (: plus, they all say that dental school is hell but the life after graduation is really great omg so yeahhhh don't ever give up nicole! :D must stay till the end so can enjoy life after school ((:

and hehe if there's anything i've learnt over the whole course of applying for unis and scholarships these few months, it's that, sometimes life doesn't always go the way you want it to, but things don't work out no matter how much you try to make them work out, then you know it's just not meant for you, end of story (: and then you will end up choosing the most suitable route, which is most likely meant for you anw, so yayy :D so sometimes when things don't work out, i'm not gonna stress/get upset or depressed anymore cos it just shows that it's not meant to be anw haha so yeah (: it's like how i realised that caltech, despite being very pro, doesn't always make a nice combination with every single scholarship and not every single scholarship is really truly meant for nicole either, so in the end, when it all boiled down to engineer vs dentist, well i'm very sure i made the right choice there (:
so yeahh this is where i kiss all of you goodbye haha, caltech, berkeley, imperial, dsta, astar, mfa, smu law, byeee! it was great having you all and i really do feel the pinch of rejecting all these in the end, especially after having fought so hard omg, but i guess i'm not fated to end up as some glamorous diplomat or some highly intellectual engineer/scientist from a branded school after all hehh but it's ok i won't regret it (: neither will i regret giving up the chance to study overseas cos well, there's always still the option of holidays abroad (: so yeahh i've alr made my firm choice; no looking back anymore (: for now.. i'm alr looking forward to making my first denture and treating my first patient, and of course, graduation hehe xD am so excited la srsly omg yayy! :D
anddddd i'm so looking forward to getting my driving license too omgggg i really hope this turns out well ((:

my mom just forwarded loads of scary stories about how tricksters overseas try all their crafty ways of luring ppl into their traps and before they kidnap/rob/murder/maim their victims D: SO SCARY omg i'm traumatised D: D: i don't wanna leave home anymore omggg gosh ): scaredddddd D: how am i ever gonna get around overseas omg i'm having second thoughts about going there to study now omgg i don't wanna come back with no arms and legs ))): touchwood of course )): AHHHH scary D: now i am so tempted to take up smu law haha i'll just stay in singapore and study and then i'll go be a lawyer next time haha and yeahh i don't have to expose myself to all the dangers out there (: i quote my friend (i can't rmbr who, but i think it was qiu haha), "singapore is abnormally safe" and yeahh i guess that's true, but really, there's nth bad about staying in this abnormally safe country where the crime rate is super low and where my mom will fawn over me and get all kancheong when i fall sick (:
i absolutely cannot imagine surviving overseas by myself ): omg for the last few months i was really feeling very brave and pro haha i kept telling myself, woohoo i'm gonna step out of my comfort zone and go overseas a few years and when i come back i will be a stronger and less blur and more independent person :D haha but now i'm reallyyyyy not feeling so brave anymore omgg, getting cold feet in fact D: how omg omg i am so freaking scared ):
the thing is.. i signed all the forms alr D: omg :O
omg i need to come back safe and sound la i still have a lot of things to do after uni omg faints! and omg i really should stop being so scared haha D:
ok omg cheer up time (: must blog about the last few days :D
today i went out with jn ah ma! :D she's on half day leave today woohoo(: so yayy we met at orchard and went to sun with moon for lunch! :D yum hehe i love the food there omg :D anw we shared a salmon kamemashi set (which was super huge cos it came with this large bowl of salmon rice, chicken chawanmushi, pickles and salmon sashimi and miso soup! ) and we ordered loads of dessert too omg (: vanilla ice cream (which came with the set), mini matcha parfait, choc crepe cake and tofu cheesecake! (: hehe and omg the waitress looked super alarmed that we were ordering so much hehehe she stared at us and went like "dessert buffet ah?" HAHA xD but well, the portions of dessert weren't that big la so nvm haha no need to feel guilty :D and anw yeahh everything rocked! (: damn yummy haha yummmmmm omg (((((:
and the best thing of all was that we just sat there and chatted about our lives for like omg 3.5 hours straight haha damn pro la really omg :D :D :D and like, it didn't even feel like we'd been talking that long, but well yeahh turns out it really was thaaaat long haha omg (: and we even talked for so long that we ignored our matcha parfait for a while until we realised it had totally melted omg D: but nvm la it still tasted nice even when it was all melty and goopy hahaha xD and yayy i love catching up with ah ma dearest omggg we must catch up more next time again! ((: ah ma is the best yayy love youuuu omg (((((:
ooohx then after lunch we went to walk around awhile at ion :D thanks for accompanying me on my food-hunting expeditions my dearest ah ma! :D and hehe my dearest ah ma offered to bake my wedding cake hehe coolios i bet it'd be the nicest around (: and we have decided that we are gonna be bridesmaids for each other's weddings hahahah so cool omg and so exciting :D :D
and after we were done at ion, we went to lido to buy cheesy sausage cos ah ma said it's the nicest around! ((: and yeahh omg it's true haha it's really the best cheesy sausage i ever tasted! :D :D and oh no i ate 2 haha, oops so unhealthy hehe but it was worth it la i'd say :D
and last tues i went for cooking session with ducky! :D at cairnhill cc haha xD and like, i was so disappointed to find that it wasn't hands on haha, it just involved us sitting in front of the demo area and watching the instructor cook haha xD oh no which was a bit pointless cos can just follow the recipe and cook also ma no need to watch instructor cooking haha :/ buttt the good thing was that, after he was done cooking, he distributed the food for everyone in class to eat haha! xD and ok la, well his cooking was not bad :D and i liked the honey ginger chawanmushi haha i'm gonna try and cook it one of these days (: it's yummy and healthy omg i like :D :D and i never knew honey was so nutritious hehe but now i know omg (: next time i'm gonna stop using sugar and use more honey instead hehe xD xD
ooh and ducky and i tried the yoghurt at jco donuts! (: which rocked haha it was really nice and the portion was so generous omg and so full of fruits (: more worth it than yami yoghurt hee and in fact i think it tastes nicer too yayy :D :D yumz omg ((: and on our way to cooking, ducky and i were ranting about **ys and haha it's very comforting to know that someone else thinks in exactly the same way that i do haha xD yayy best birdie friend forever! :D i can't wait for pingpong date omg ((:

OMG i feel so sick )): stupid omg i hate getting low blood pressure zzz all the dizzy spells and nauseous waves are so annoying really omg i can't even imagine how it'd be like next time when i'm abroad and sick like this every month omg haha i can imagine la i'll just be put out of action for a day or two every month cos of this annoying condition )): have to miss lessons and all that just to sleep and rest sighhh bleahhh this sucks ): worst thing is: i'll have to take care of myself then and it's gonna be sooo tough omgg ): having to cope and go about the daily chores and routines despite being sick and dizzy oh gosh i really can't imagine omgggg ))): i really need to find a way to raise my blood pressure nowwwwww goodness )): see that's the part that makes me scared of studying overseas haha especially cos i regularly fall sick ohmygoodness )): today i almost fainted on the mrt )): hopefully i don't like, faint and fall into the milikan pond or what when i'm overseas omgggg -crosses fingers- gosh i HATE being sick )):
and feel so bad cos i was supposed to go lunch and movie with my dad today gosh but i ended up conking out on the bed when i reached home after driving ))): shucks what a waste really i was so looking forward to movie today ):

first there was andrea's 21st bday party at fiesta brasilias! (: hehe so happy it's so near my house somemore la omg :D so yeahh she invited loads of people and like out of all the invitees i only knew zhixiang and derek cos we were all under the same violin teacher hehe xD so omgg i still rmbr how me and zx was frantically smsing the other day haha we were like eh omg did you see andrea's invite? how ah! haha eh so many random ppl i don't wanna go leh but if you go i'll go ok! ok ok we check with derek also k either all go together or no one goes ok! HAHA xD then after that we were debating over what to get her for her bday present hahaha it was really funny omg and all these were settled thru sms omg not bad eh we're quite efficient (: hee so yeahh in the end i ended up choosing the present first haha and i chose this nice bracelet for her yayy! :D omg it was 96 bucks gosh and though it's not that bad after being shared out by 3 ppl but still, ouch i feel the pinch haha :p but then again, ok la cannot give a too-small present also haha cos her lunch buffet today must have cost a bomb to host omg :O
k so anyway the 3 of us arranged to meet earlier at novena to sign her bday card haha and goodness derek was so late omgggg haha so zx and i stood around to chat first haha and waited for the super slow derek to arrive hahaha faints! then neither of us had a pen to sign the card with haha so the cheapo zx suggested going to popular on the pretext of trying out their pen colours hahahaa then shunbian go and use their pens to sign the cards hahaa goodness!!! :p but it worked la anw haha it was really quite smart lol xD and yeahh derek ended up doing the decorations haha he drew this giant rainbow with highlighters haha and zzz both of them were so lazy to write their own bday message so they tompang-ed my message and just signed off at the bottom hahaha lazy bums you two omggg! :p
then off we went to andrea's party! :D and oops haha at first i mistook her for a waitress zzzzz omg and lousy derek and zx couldn't stop harping on it omggg they practically told andrea about it la lousy ppl! HEH cos i couldn't recognise her after so long right haha, then zhixiang was like "eh andrea at least give us a recent photo of yourself before we come la so can identify you hahaa wait some ppl mistake you for sth else" then andrea was like, "like WHAT?!" then derek was like "wait-AHEM-ress" OMGGGGG srsly i could have died on the spot omg lucky andrea didn't catch it la omgggg!!! whew :p and yeahh we ended up sitting with andrea's parents haha so we were happily chatting with her mom haha her mom is really nice :D and omgg we were happily stuffing ourselves with food also hehhh cos it was a buffet ma!! :D though the thing about brazilian food is that everything is mostly meaty and so it gets really filling after awhile hehh :/ so me and zx were super full within like half and hour hahaha omgggg and derek was still happily stuffing his face omgggg -.- damn pro la hahaha somemore he told the waiter to keep the food coming omggg hahahah xD
and so sweet omgg haha turns out andrea's party was all planned out by her boyfriend! (: and he's japanese omg quite cool la (: he looks like the japanese guy from heroes haha xD and so yeahh he was the emcee for the whole party haha and he asked all her friends present to come up to the front and say something for andrea haha xD so yeahh i went up with zx and derek and we talked abt how we played together in the same chamber group under our violin teacher blah blah and also about how zx, andrea and myself performed for some xmas event together haha xD my goodness it was totally impromptu haha but at least we sounded ok man haha or i'd have felt bad for the bday girl :p
and like after that there was the cake-cutting! :D and so cool haha the waiters all came out and started singing the brazilian version of the bday song haha it was pretty cool (: and there were tambourines and drums and everything haha it really sounded quite good (: and then andrea's bf made her wear this brazilian headdress to cut cake haha so cute omg :D it looked like a giant peacock thingy la so many feathers omg (: cute hehe xD
then after the cake we went off for movie! (: so cool la zhixiang can drive alr hehe so he drove us to amk hub since he brought his car today (: and haha so funny omg cos we were debating over who should sit where hehehe derek asked me to sit in front with zx cos he rather not take the front seat hahaha too afraid of being thrown out of the car in an accident haha omgg ungentlemanly guy zzz haha and zx also wanted me to sit in front anw cos he was like 'oh pls, derek is so noisy i then don't want him to sit beside me omg" HAHA so yeahh i sat in front lorh haha :D and then a little while later derek wanted to change seats HAHA cos zx was driving this bmw sports car and it was super hard to get into the backseat cos must push the front seat forward first and all that hahaha but yeahh too bad man haha i still got to sit in front anw cos, to quote zx, "eh cannot la nicole wearing skirt so cannot climb over into the back seat" hahahah too bad derek :p
and omg it was a totally hilarious car ride haha and quite exciting also cos it's the first time i'm sitting in a car being driven by a friend hahaha xD zx is a really good driver though yayy haha so yeah it was a very smooth ride woohoo xD omg so envious haha i can't wait to be able to drive like that too omggg (: oh and it was hilarious cos we had to bear with derek's lousy rendition of rihanna's songs in the backseat omggg hahahah my poor ears :p though i must admit he's pretty entertaining hahah xD
and omgg amk hub carpark is sooo crowded on sundays we had to queue for super long before we had a parking lot :O and damn funny haha when we finally drove into the carpark, zhixiang suddenly accelerated like madddddd haha he was like "NO ONE IS GONNA STEAL MY LOT MAN" hahaha and zoomed all the way towards the parking lot omggg faints hahahhaa xD yeahh and he's damn funny haha always forgets where he parks his car hahahahaha xD
yayy so anw we went to buy tickets for kick ass haha xD which was a really nice show omg :D it was about this schoolkid who became a superhero hehe and there was nicholas cage in it omg! :D hehhh but so sad la his character died towards the end of the show omg ))): so sad sighh and i love all the fighting scenes haha i think nicholas cage and hitgirl(dunno what's her real name) looked really cool omg (: and i wish i knew how to fight like that omg then i'd be really safe from attacks overseas next time haha xD watching this show made me reallll scared though haha i really hope i don't encounter all those guns/stabbings in US next time omggg -touchwood- it'd really be so scary goodness ): it was a really nice movie though haha xD really action-packed haha i like :D
and then yeahh after the movie we just split ways and went home haha (: yayy we really should meet up again omg or we'd hardly have much chance to see each other again over the next few years la ): first i'm going overseas this year, then zx is going uk next year after he finishes ns, then derek is going the year after zx... omg D: and then we'd be one engineer, one lawyer and one real estate manager haha and i wonder if we'll ever get the chance to catch up again once we're all caught up with work and all ): which is sad omg cos it's honestly damn wasted when we have to drift from these long time friends cos we're too busy and all that ): considering we've known each other for like omg, coming 6.5 years haha (: and i love being part of this group of friends cos i'm the baby of the group teehee xD xD i'm the youngest there alr haha though last time i really thot zx was the youngest hahahaha oops cos of his size hehe :p
and i do really miss those times playing in the chamber group together hahha it was really fun omg xD and you ppl were really some of my closer friends outside of sch alr haha especially zhixiang haha (: he was easily the first guy i met who changed my impression of all guys being assholes and jerks hahaha oops (: cos yeah he was really a superbly great friend la haha always helped me out and listened to me stressing about school and strings and syf and nagged at me when i got sick (goodness he was a bit of a little old man hahaha :p ) and all even though i was super bad to him and always made fun of his height and always called him p5 boy although he was sec 2 at the time alr HAHA oops :p and he was really a great friend for my ego also hahaa always blogging about my pro sight-reading skills ahahaha i still rmbr xD how flattering srsly hahaha xD and i think we used to secretly admire each other's violin skills haha like i really loved the way he played copland's hoe down omg and i still rmbr it to this very day haha omg it was really awesome :D and he loved the way i played finzi's introit or sth hahaha it was "so soulful" apparently haha xD oops i really am getting very ego haha see if you ppl all think i'm very ego now then you have to go after this guy hahah cos i think he kept fanning my ego last time hahaha :p
and well derek was more of my dad's friend than mine at first hahahaa srsly lorh he used to talk more to my dad than to me hahahaha goodness ): and i can't rmbr when things changed haha i think it was only when he added me on msn or sth haha but yeahh omg he's a great friend too la :D always chides me for overworking myself haha goodness xD and he's the one who changed my impression that all poly guys were rough and ungentlemanly haha oops :D
so yayy haha all these special friends have really taught me quite a bit in their own ways lah haha xD and there's still my special neville didi who wasn't there today but you're a special friend too anyhow and i'll blog more about you after jiejie-didi outing kayy (when is it even happening btw haha, prob after your Os la right haha xD)
